Mai told Asha that Todd had a weakness for Asian women, so she chose to wear a delicate, pale blue leotard to complement her gentle appearance. “So tell me,” Todd’s thoughts ran, “how do you propose to use your skills in marketing?”

She returned to a choke, this time an illegal one, using her right knee, while locking his now weak right arm in the firm grip of her left hand. He yelled as she bent his arm at a perverse angle, putting unbearable pressure on his shoulder joint, which she had already weakened.

Todd’s mouth went dry as she turned her attention to both his arms. Smiling to herself rather cruelly, she locked them behind his back, palms up. He looked as if he was trying to bite the mat in response (perhaps he was). Now both his shoulder joints were being assailed.

“Submit, Todd?” she asked her boss, while raising his arms to intensify the pain in his shoulders.

It worked, and he “gave”. She knelt over him flexing in celebration, but it was only the prelude to another hold. Oh no, he wasn’t going to get a break! Lying across him, she snapped her legs shut around him in a body scissor, securing his near right arm in case he tried to contest the hold. He couldn’t withstand much of it, she knew, and she inquired, “You give?”

Well, that was quick! It was only moments before that she had been posing in celebration, and now she was doing it again, sitting on a panting Todd. Chuckling to herself, she lowered her body, so that she straddle pinned him, with his arms locked above his head. She wanted that promotion, and all that seemed to stand in the way of it was this twit who thought he could fight. She, on the other hand, knew she could fight, and she was going to box that promotion out of him.

In she went, with a left hook to his stomach. Todd grimaced in pain, so much that it looked as if he was smiling. She guessed rightly that he wouldn’t be able to resist much to the stomach and noted his stifled groan of pain as her glove struck home.

He clinched, trying to play for time, but her superior strength put him on the ropes, whereupon she uppercut him beautifully with her left. His head shot backwards over the top rope with the force of the blow. Just as he was moving it to its normal position, she sent it straight back over the rope again with a right uppercut. The punch that he had been preparing for her shot high into the air instead.

Anxious not to have another one of those, Todd brought his gloves up to protect his face, so Asha took a free shot at his stomach. Her right glove slapped into the soft, lazy skin of his upper stomach and his whole body seemed to fold itself around it to absorb the pain.

No doubt about it, it was the body shots that did the most damage, and Asha banged a left in at his kidney. It felt like a laser penetrating his right side. His head went back, and he looked up, as if in silent appeal to heaven.

The would-be head of marketing drummed her knee in at the general manager’s chest. He dropped down to his knees, close to despair.

“Have you had enough?” she asked, the cruel smile returning.

Seemingly he hadn’t though, because he got back up without replying and resumed a fighting stance. Oh well, you have to admire his optimism (or shake your head at his stupidity). Asha happily adopted a stance herself for an unofficial round 2 to begin.

Even so, he seemed scared even to attempt to hit her as they circled, so she ended the phoney war with a left hook. Todd stumbled, and his mouth opened so wide that he looked like an opera singer.

She almost put him down with a right cross that went roaring into his left ear. His hearing went all foggy in that ear, and his balance played funny tricks on him. But before he could recover, she hammered her left glove into his stomach. The submissive, gentle Asian lady plunged her fist into her boss’s stomach, smiling as she heard his sigh of yet more pain.

Asha thrust her right knee into Todd’s left side, doing the same damage to it that she had done to his other side a couple of minutes or so earlier. He leant into it, again trying to absorb the pain. Indeed, it looked as if he was trying to use it for support.

She wasn’t going to have any of that, and she sent her left glove storming up under his chin in a spectacular uppercut. He fell to his knees, and she swept her left glove around his face in a massive hook. Todd collapsed onto his back, and Asha’s arms went up in triumph. How satisfying to do that to a man - especially when he’s your boss!

Asha began to count him out again. At 4, she asked, “Promotion time?” At 8, she asked if he was “done”, then at 10 it was simply “I WIN”. She had learnt of the strange ritual that took place after one of Todd’s fights (as if the fight itself wasn’t strange enough) and she ordered him to get on all fours. He did, but only to slide under the bottom rope and run away.

We don’t know what took place in the few minutes after Todd left the scene, but Mai soon entered the ring and told Asha “No way”. Todd, peering through a window in an adjoining room, took it all back about wishing she would mind her own business.

Asha pushed Mai; Mai pushed Asha. They agreed to fight and to observe that strange ritual that gets inflicted on the loser in these matches. They stared each other down, then Mai opened the batting with a left jab, catching Asha on the jaw. The slightly larger woman (whose white leotard was just as sparse on material as Asha’s) certainly had the edge in weight of punch, surprising Asha. This was compounded by a rising right cross to the same jaw.

One thing both women could agree on would be the considerable damage you can cause with a body shot, and Mai now powered her left glove into Asha’s stomach. But Asha wasn’t Todd. Her instinct was to strike back, and she halted the other’s progress with a left jab to the jaw. She built on this with a right cross bang on the chin, that caused Mai to take a step back. Then came the body shot, nasty, low and deep into the side of Mai’s stomach.

Mai stepped back and they both took a moment to refocus, honours very much even. They circled, staring at each other. Mai fired a left jab at Asha’s jaw; Asha responded likewise. Mai caught Asha with a right cross on the chin; Asha responded in similar vein, in the spirit of the old song, “Anything you can do, I can do better”.

In her case it would have been appropriate, because it spurred her to fire a second left, hard into her opponent’s stomach. Mai committed Todd’s error of folding over Asha’s glove. It made her dangerously vulnerable to a head shot, and Asha wasn’t one to let such an opportunity go to waste. She stormed in with a right uppercut, sending Mai to the mat. From his vantage point, Todd pressed the bell, signifying the end of the round.

Asha was, naturally, very pleased with her progress. She had knocked down the heavier woman, and she went to her corner, all smiles. By contrast, Mai went to her corner looking furious. Most people opposite her would have been a tad apprehensive, even if Asha wasn’t, and she returned to the middle loving the way she had “got under the skin” of her opponent.

Yes, it was all a laugh to her – until Mai got her in the ear with a solid left. With hindsight, perhaps it hadn’t been the best idea to mock Mai so much, because it made the woman in white determined on revenge. Well, she was getting it now, firing a right cross at Asha’s jaw. That hurt, and by the look on Asha’s face, she was hit as much by reality as a glove. The Greeks have a word for her recent high spirits, so cruelly dashed – hubris.

Mai was on fire. She thundered a left hook at Asha’s opposite jaw, which had the girl in blue in momentary disarray. She shook herself out of it and clinched, hoping it would last long enough for her to recover. Instead, Mai used her greater weight to push her away.

Asha knew she must retaliate and she tried a right jab. Mai nudged herself out of its path, then hurled a left hook at the jaw she had so recently punished. It stunned Asha, leaving her in a similarly vulnerable position to Mai in the previous round.

It was payback time, and the furious Mai launched a blistering right cross at Asha’s battered jaw. It’s doubtful she knew anything about it, because it knocked her out instantly and she landed on her back.

Mai thrust her arms into the air in celebration, then smiled for the first time in what seemed to be an age. She took a moment to observe her downed opponent, standing with her hands on her hips, before starting the count out, with her own commentary. She got to 7, before she said anything, which was to ask Asha if she was there. At 10, she told Asha – by this time struggling to get up – that she was hers. (Well, they had agreed that at the start, odd though it must seem to many people.)

In case anyone is unfamiliar with this type of gallery, what that meant was that Asha was to be - how would you put it? – ravished by Mai wearing a strap on. So, after some posing, Mai donned the monstrous thing, then demanded a “victory blowjob”. Asha obliged, but was Mai satisfied?
